What is PeP? Pep is an emergency medical treatment provided to prevent blood borne pathogens such as HIV, HBV and HCV. It helps to prevent it from becoming a life long infection. PEP inhibits the replication of the initial inoculum of virus and thereby prevents establishment of chronic HIV infection.
